2020 PGPN Graduation report Nigeria
ANOTHER SET OF NIGERIAN HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS BENEFIT FROM THE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME IN PAEDIATRIC NUTRITION (PGPN).
Charged with the objectives of refreshing nutrition foundation of Health Care Professionals (HCPs), to provide evidence-based pediatric nutrition education and to prepare HCPs to address the major nutrition-related health concerns encountered in their communities, the Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) in collaboration with MedInscribe and supported by Nestle Nutrition Institute trained HCPs globally.
The latest graduation of 11th February 2020 at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, was the 4th edition in Nigeria. A total of One Hundred (100) Nigerian, HCPs pan Nigeria were certified, after several online nutrition modules and face-to-face workshop with BUSM faculty, Dr Clifford Lo and Local Key Opinion Leader Prof. Abiola Oduwole, Professor of paediatrics, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos Nigeria.
With a rating, by participants, of above 90% on quality of the content and it relevance to the clinical practice, it reassures that PGPN is meeting its objectives in Nigeria.
To further add value to participants, the doctors had opportunity of checking their vital signs, as they will not be their own doctor and may have been encumbered with work volume to get some health checks done.
