Dr. Nicolas Bonnet of Nestlé Research, Switzerland, presents an abstract on the Bone And MicroBiOme Onset (BAMBOO) observational study in this exclusive interview from ESPGHAN 2025. Infants in the cohort were recruited at birth, with bone length and quality assessed at birth, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. Results show a positive association between HMO levels, bone length, and bone quality, highlighting the potential role of HMOs in supporting healthy bone growth during the first year of life.
